It folds compactly but opens to the very cool art of Ed Hardy, including a huge koi (goldfish) and bright background design. The gift was a hit and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different to give to their favorite Ed Hardy fan, tattoo lover, koi pond owner or simply anyone who wants some slick shade for their car! This half ounce of putty is very small and compact (think of a half ounce lead shot). I use this for fly fishing on lakes, adding just a little weight 6-12 inches in front of my nymphs, When it sticks everything works great, when it sticks. . . does not work well on slippery lines (mono, or florocarbon and anything similar are not going to give good adhesion) but uncoated (and older) spider-wire does work fairly well. If you fish where there are bluegill (like I do) they can get overzealous and attack the noodle of weight causing it to slide or in some extreme cases tear it off (good thing I only use about 1/50th of the putty at any one time). pros: -SMALL quantities of weight easy to apply -Easy to remove from the line when done -Easy to fine tune exact quantities of weight for water depth, and retrieve speed cons: -large quantities of weight (1/8 ounce in this case is large) nearly impossible to apply on mono or fluorocarbon without using... Yeah, it's a $20 tripod., December 25, 2011 By  Nicholas Brownfield (Ventura, CA) - See all my reviews    This review is from: VIVITAR VIV-VPT-1250 TRIPOD (50")-VIVVPT1250 (Electronics) So I decided I wanted a tripod, but I wasn't willing to spend more than about $20. This looked good, so I bought it. When I took it out to shoot the first time it was okay. Then I decided I wanted to get a bit experimental with some HDR shots. This is such an unstable tripod that you cannot repeat the same exposure twice with it. The thing feels as though it blows around with the wind. If all you care about is a bit of stability for longer shots then this would probably be okay. If you care about anything else I would shy away from this and get something a bit sturdier. If you want one in the next day or two look at the dumpster next to my apartment. It'll be in there.
