The suction is great. It is not loud for a vacuum. It has a power head, as in electricity powers the brush rolers, not suction, so performance is consistent.Someone mentioned the bags being too small for the unit. It does seem so at first, but actually they puff out into a sort of cubed shape like a popcorn bag, so they actually do fit the compartment. You have three different bag options which are a hepa bag, fine particle bag and then just regular plain old vacuum bags. I went with the middle of the road. But the bag prices are very reasonable. I think I got 8 bags for 10 bucks. The hepa type, if I remember were two bags for 15, and the regular bags were like 15 for 10 dollars. What I didn't like most upon deciding, since I went to sears and checked them all out, were the cheap feeling plasic compartment doors that hold the accessories. It feels like it will just break off if you open... So I headed to Sears, hit a Memorial Day sale and ended up with this Kenmore Aqua Canister. I am extremely pleasantly surprised, especially since we just picked it out of a line up pretty much! Its lightweight enough to carry up and down the stairs, has all the necessary attachments and looks cute too. I am happy with the bags after using a bagless upright that was just a mess every time we cleaned it out. The bags are cheap enough and the sales person said that the bag of 10 would last a year. That works for me! After searching high and low, I am very happy with this little guy. I highly recommend. Picks up dirt--thats what its meant for, right? 7 of 9 people found the following review helpful By This review is from: Aqua Kenmore Canister Vacuum (Kitchen) Just bought this vacuum about 2 weeks ago at Sears for $218.00. I was debating purchasing a bagless vacuum, but decided it was too nasty to empty out the canister. We have an 1,800 sq. ft house with "saltillo" (mexican tile) floors and hardwood in the bedrooms - no carpet. We also have an 80+ lb. short haired dog who sheds profusely!! This vacuum has been great so far - it has great suction and has a bare floor attachment (also a crevice tool, furniture cleaner attachment and a pet attachment for cleaning animal hair off of furniture I suspect). I'm very happy - so is my housekeeper (she only comes 2x a month, but now she doesn't have to bring her own vacuum). On average I vacuum about 2 times a week, but now that my baby is about to start crawling I will need to vacuum 3-4/week. But it's much easier now than with my old stick vac (Miele) which I bought when I lived in an apartment. |
